Transportation Education
CCRI offers a comprehensive array of transportation education programs to meet the diverse needs of the community.

Driver Retraining
Driver retraining courses are court-imposed alcohol education, alcohol treatment, and defensive driving programs. These courses are sanctioned by the court and all registration fees must be paid at the DMV in Cranston. Once you have paid the fee, you will be registered for the program and will receive information via email.
Motorcycle Rider Education
CCRI provides introductory and advanced courses for motorcycle riders. The basic rider’s course provides safety education and training that is compulsory for every RI motorcyclist--the only such state requirement in the nation. Advanced courses are also offered for licensed riders and there is a training program to become a rider coach.
School Bus Certification
This course is for people who are employed by bus companies and are in training to become bus drivers.
Commercial Driver's License
As of January 2022, CDL testing is administered by the RIDMV.
CDL Road Test will test vehicle inspection, basic controls, and driving skills and can result in the CDL license. Testers must provide their own vehicles for testing. The CDL Range is located at 400 Romano Vineyard Way in North Kingstown.
For Skill Testing Information, please contact the RIDMV at 401-462-2122.
