After you submit your Application for Admission and receive your acceptance email, complete steps below:

and you're ready to start in fall 2024:

Log-in to MyCCRI to view status
First, you'll need your CCRI username and ID number. Your CCRI username and ID number
can be looked up here. [Directions]
- Once you have your username and ID number, click on the MyCCRI link on the Secure Login page.
- You’ll then see a login screen. Enter your username and your temporary password* the first time you lo
gin. - After login, click on the hamburger menu in the upper left hand corner.

In the menu select for students.
- Find the box labeled "Financial Aid Checklist" and select "RI Promise Status".
- Any item with a red flag still needs to be completed.
*NOTE: New CCRI accounts are given a temporary password consisting of thefirst three letters of your Username (capitalize first letter), followed by an underscore “_” character and the last four digits of your CCRI ID Number. (Your CCRI username and ID number can be looked up here.)
For example: Name: Jane Doe. Username= jdoe. IDnumber: 12345678.
Jane’s temporary password would be Jdo_5678.

RI PROMISE APPLICATION
Please fill out the RI Promise Application (known as the ‘Attestation form’), that applies to you.
RI Promise Under 18
- If you are under 18 years old, please complete form below.
- Student and parent signature required.
RI Promise 18 and over
- If you are 18 years or older, please complete form below.
- Student signature required.
RI Promise Supplemental 19-20-21
- If you are 19, 20, or 21 years old, please complete form below along with the RI Promise 18 and Over.

OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
Have your high school submit (from official school email) your official HS transcript with graduation date. Or, have your official GED® submitted. This can be emailed to [email protected]
DEGREE PROGRAM
To be eligible for RI Promise, you need to be in a degree program. List of CCRI Degree Programs You can change your major in your MyCCRI account. Once you log in, click the For Students tab and select Change My Major under the Admission Application Tools box. NOTE: Certificate Programs do not qualify.
Placement Scores (MATH-READING-WRITING)
In order to determine course placement, students should submit as many of the following:
High School Transcripts
- Mid-year high school transcript.
- Official graduation transcript.
GED Scores
SAT Scores
- Math
- Reading
- Writing
ACCUPLACER
Please be Advised
- If a student submits a high school transcript or SAT scores and one or more placement categories are still not completed (there is a RED FLAG on your RI Promise Status Check), then ACCUPLACER is required to generate a placement.
How to submit
- High School Transcripts: Must be sent via email from your high school to: [email protected]
- GED®: To request your official GED® scores be sent to CCRI use this link.
- SAT: Your high school can submit SAT scores or you can submit a picture of your College Board SAT score report with your name and CCRI ID number to: [email protected]
- ACCUPLACER: Is free and can be taken in-person or request a remote option.
FAFSA RECEIVED
A FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) needs to be submitted to qualify for RI Promise.
Apply for Financial Aid at FAFSA Please be sure to include the CCRI school code 004916.
There are convenient options available if you need assistance with FAFSA completion.
- The financial aid office offers FAFSA workshops on the dates/times listed here virtual FAFSA workshops. Register to attend.
- The Educational Opportunity Center provides free, confidential one-on-one assistance via phone or virtual face-to-face appointments daily from 8AM to 8PM. Bilingual counselors are available in: Spanish, French, and Kriolu (Cape Verdean). Click Request Appointment, text us at 401.310.0730 or email us at [email protected]. We will respond within one business day.
- For additional convenience, schedule a free phone appointment with the College Planning Center for one on one assistance. Early evening appointments available weekdays until 7pm.
FINANCIAL AID REQUIREMENTS COMPLETE
Your FAFSA has been submitted to CCRI, but you may need to submit additional information to Financial Aid. Inside your MyCCRI under For Students/Financial Aid Information, Red Flags will display if you are missing required documents. You can access and upload required documentation in this area. If you need assistance, please contact the Financial Aid Office at: [email protected] Include the following:
- Name (first and last name)
- CCRI ID number
- Cell phone number
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS COMPLETE
If your SAT scores have been submitted or you have taken the ACCUPLACER, you can register for your classes. You must complete 24 credits (30 credits recommended) in your first year to be eligible for RI Promise. It is recommended that you enroll full-time each fall and spring semester, though a mimum of 9 credits is required. Those students choosing to enroll less than full-time will need to take classes in the Winter Session and Summer Sessions to meet the requirement.
You can complete your New Student Registration by meeting with an advisor on campus or at a virtual drop-in session to select classes.
