Intent to Graduate Information
In order to graduate from the Community College of Rhode Island, you must complete the Intent to Graduate process. If you need assistance visit the Office of Enrollment Services at any campus location at the beginning of your final semester. The application process is online, through MyCCRI (please click here for instructions).
Walk Through Policy
All students who need no more than 2 classes, or up to 8 credit hours, to complete their degree requirements are eligible to participate in commencement. These applicants must complete the Intent to Graduate and indicate their preference to “walk through” in the appropriate section of the form. PLEASE NOTE: If you fail to complete your requirements by the end of the Summer Term, you must re-complete the Intent to Graduate process the semester you actually complete your degree requirements.
Degree Requirements
To be recommended for graduation, a student must meet all degree requirements, as outlined in the college catalog, and complete the Intent to Graduate processing. In order to determine if you have successfully met all of your degree requirements, you must run a degree evaluation in MyCCRI. Click here - degree evaluation for instructions on how to run (and print) your degree evaluation. If your degree requirements have not been met, you should make an appointment with an advisor to discuss your evaluation.
Diploma Mailing Information
Diplomas are mailed approximately four to six weeks following the date of graduation, except for any unforeseen circumstances. The Office of Enrollment Services is responsible for clearing you for graduation. Once you are cleared, your degree will be awarded and your diploma will be ordered.
Diplomas will be mailed to the address in our records. You will be responsible for reporting any change of address information on the Intent to Graduate form. Diplomas will not be mailed to students with outstanding obligations to the institution. It is the student’s responsibility to clear all outstanding obligations.
If you have not received your diploma eight weeks after your graduation date, check your online transcript to see if your degree was conferred. If the degree has been conferred, you need to report to the Office of Enrollment Services that you have not received your diploma . If your degree was not conferred, check with the Office of Enrollment Services.
